Export your ChatGPT memory and use it in Claude: keep your context when you switch tools. The step-by-step for moving your AI setup between platforms.

Here's the smarter play most people are missing.

If you've been using ChatGPT consistently, it already knows a lot about you. Your tone. Your goals. Your business model. Your audience. Your patterns. Your strengths. Even the way you think.

That's not just conversation history.
That's strategic context.

And context is what makes AI powerful.

The problem is every new AI tool starts from zero. New platform. Blank slate. No idea who you are.

So instead of rebuilding yourself over and over, you create a portable memory bank.

Here's how.

First, ask ChatGPT to generate a comprehensive document about you based on everything it knows. Not a short bio. A full intelligence brief. Your background, positioning, offers, values, communication style, recurring themes, long term goals, decision making patterns, target audience, and strategic opportunities.

You want depth. Ten to fifteen pages. Structured. Organized.

Then you review it.

You refine.
You correct inaccuracies.
You tighten language.
You remove fluff.

Now you have a Master Context Document.

This becomes your base layer.

When you open another AI platform for design, copywriting, automation, analytics, or strategy, you upload that document as background.

Suddenly the tool understands:

Who you are
How you think
Who you serve
What you're building
How you speak
What matters to you

Instead of generic output, you get aligned output.

This is the difference between dabbling with AI and building an AI stack around you.

You're not just prompting.
You're transferring intelligence.

The purpose isn't ego. It's efficiency.

The more context an AI has, the higher the quality of its thinking. If ChatGPT has already accumulated that context over months of interaction, exporting it gives you leverage across every other tool.

Think of it like this.

Your conversations created data.
That data becomes a structured asset.
That asset becomes your portable operating manual.

Steal this prompt

Copy it, or say it out loud in voice mode. Talking gives your AI more to work with.

Act as my AI setup assistant. I'm moving from ChatGPT to Claude, and I'm pasting my exported ChatGPT memory below.

Sort it into three lists: keep, update, and drop. Ask me about anything you're unsure of, one question at a time. Then write a clean "about me" summary I can paste into Claude.

Most people start from scratch on every platform.

You don't have to.

That's the advantage.

This is exactly the move we made in ChatGPT vs Claude: why I switched. And if you're deciding which tools deserve your context in the first place, here are the 14 AI tools we actually use.
