I'm Using Claude AND ChatGPT Right Now

People keep asking me: Claude or ChatGPT?

I keep saying: both. At the same time. Like, literally open both tabs.

Here's what I learned after actually testing this.

Claude for when you need to actually CONNECT things

Claude is like having an AI employee on staff. I hand it complicated stuff and it just handles it.

I used Claude to build out a whole backend system for something. I also asked it to figure out how to connect three different tools I'm using, and how to automate a workflow that was taking me hours every single week. It remembered every detail, never asked me to repeat myself, and when I said "wait, but what about this edge case," it just understood and fixed it.

I don't have time to figure that out myself. Claude is better when you need precision. Like, I need this to actually work. I need it to connect all the dots across the technology I'm already using. I need it to handle something that would take me literally hours to figure out on my own.

I ask it one time, explain the whole situation, and it becomes the thing.

ChatGPT for when you need it to be beautiful (and you need it FAST)

ChatGPT is my go-to for anything visual or organizational.

I created my entire content calendar in ChatGPT. I described what I was trying to do, it gave me options in like 90 seconds, and boom. Calendar organized. Done. I can move on.

I have presentations constantly. ChatGPT makes beautiful presentation templates in minutes. I've used it for design docs. Building beautiful UIs for portals. Document updates that need to look polished. It's fast at visual thinking. I show it what I'm working with, it says "try this," and I can immediately see the direction.

I need to turn some internal document into something beautiful, or I need a presentation template that actually looks like something, ChatGPT is faster. It just gets the aesthetic. And I get my time back.

The real workflow

I'm literally using them at the same time.

I'll ask Claude to handle something complicated and technical so I can focus on actual decision-making. While that's running, I'm using ChatGPT to make something look good, or organize something, or build a template. Then I bring Claude's output back to ChatGPT to make it beautiful. Or vice versa.

It's like having two people working for you who are genuinely good at different things. That's not optional. That's survival.

Okay but the AI race is REAL

Here's the thing though. Every single week, one of them gets a little smarter. ChatGPT ships something new, Claude catches up, ChatGPT leans into something different. It's moving fast.

So my take right now is solid for right now. But I'm going to keep tracking this. I'm watching which one solves which problem faster. I'm testing the stuff both of them get better at.

Because this answer might be different in like three weeks, and if you're trying to work smarter, not harder, you need to know.
