International Women’s Day in the Age of AI

Hey mama.

I was thinking about International Women’s Day today and how different life feels compared to even a few years ago.

There is so much conversation happening right now about artificial intelligence and how technology is changing everything. The way people work, the way businesses grow, the way kids learn in school.

And I caught myself wondering something.

What does all of this mean for us as women and as mothers?

Because while the world talks about technology and the future, many of us are still doing the quiet work that keeps families and communities moving forward every day.

Women Have Always Figured It Out

If you think about it, women have always had to adapt to change.

Every generation of women has faced a different version of the world. Different expectations. Different opportunities. Different challenges.

And somehow we figure it out.

We learn. We adjust. We grow.

Right now the big change happening around us is technology and AI. It is showing up everywhere, from workplaces to classrooms to the apps on our phones.

And like every generation before us, we are learning how to navigate it.

The Quiet Ways AI Is Showing Up

What I find interesting is that AI is not just something happening in big tech companies or Silicon Valley.

It is quietly showing up in everyday life.

Parents are using it to help plan meals. To organize schedules. To help kids understand homework. To get ideas when their brain is completely done for the day.

It is not replacing the work of motherhood. Nothing could.

But sometimes it can take a little pressure off the mental load we carry.

And honestly, anything that makes that mental juggling a little lighter is welcome.

Raising Kids in a Different World

Another thing that crosses my mind is that our kids are growing up in a completely different world than we did.

Technology will be part of almost everything they do.

School will look different. Work will look different. The kinds of skills they need will continue to evolve.

As mothers, part of our role is helping them learn how to navigate that world thoughtfully.

Not just how to use technology, but how to stay curious, thoughtful, and human in a world where machines can do more and more.

A Small Moment to Reflect

International Women’s Day always makes me pause for a second.

I think about the women who shaped my life. My mom. My grandmothers. Teachers. Friends.

And I think about the small moments that shape our children.

The conversations at the dinner table. The advice we give when they are nervous. The example we set when life gets hard.

Those moments are where so much of the future is quietly formed.

Final Thoughts

So today, on International Women’s Day, maybe it is less about grand speeches and more about noticing the women around us.

The ones raising families. Building ideas. Supporting friends. Figuring things out as they go.

The world is changing quickly, and technology is part of that story now.

But the steady influence of women and mothers is still one of the most powerful forces shaping what comes next.

And that feels worth pausing to appreciate.
